Destination Weddings and Honeymoons

Destination Weddings

Why Choose a Destination Wedding?

Destination Weddings are much more laid back than the
traditional at home wedding. All the important decision
regarding your ceremony and reception will most likely be made
soon after you arrive at your destination and could be
just a few days before your actual wedding date. If this
sounds like a perfect, relaxed and easy way to plan your big day
then chances are a destination wedding will be perfect for you!

However a Destination Wedding isn't for everyone. Choosing
whether a Destination Wedding is right for you will depend a lot on
your personality, temperament, and style. A Destination Wedding
is very different from a traditional wedding at home; you will not have control months before your ceremony over every tiny detail and will not have hundreds of options to choose from for your flowers, wedding cake and reception dinner. That's not to say the several options you will have won't be amazing and absolutely beautiful.

Here is a list of the most common reasons why many bride and grooms choose to celebrate their wedding away from home:

Having a romantic ceremony in a exotic location-This is by far the #1 reason why people have a Destination Wedding-the wedding photographs are amazing!

Location-These days, extended family are spread out all over the world and travel is usually involved for almost all guests. Sometimes a "meet in the middle" location works the best for most family members meeting together

Duration-Why not have a week long (or even 2 weeks long!) celebration with your friends and family instead of the traditional 1 day? Escaping just the two of you for the 2nd week is often what most couples enjoy doing too.

Saving Money-Resort weddings tend to cost less than most traditional weddings at home

Less stress-Most resorts and hotels offer the service of a wedding coordinator in the price of their wedding packages; the stress and planning is left up to them! These wedding coordinators plan weddings everyday so you are in very capable and experienced hands.

The world is your Oyster!-Destination Weddings are not limited to beach resorts; Las Vegas and many destinations in Europe are also extremely popular places to say "I Do". Perhaps you have a special connection to a place you have travelled to together that would be special. Wherever the location is, remember that the legal requirements to get married differ from country to country-blood tests and minimum stays prior to the ceremony are all common legal practices in many countries.

Yes I want my dream destination wedding!
